Habitat for Humanity raised the wall on its newest build in west St. Tammany on June 7 with the combined efforts of the local religious communities.

Named the "Building on our Faith" committee, people from all faiths joined together to work side-by-side with Habitat homebuyers to build a home for Bridgette Moritz and her son Valen Malinosky.

Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West dedicated Covington homes built for the Howard and Stallworth families during a ceremony May 19. The homes were blessed by Pastor Eddie Swan, of New Beginnings Church in Covington, and homeowners received a hammer and Bible.

Students from Christ Episcopal School in Covington recently donated $280 they raised to Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West. The second-graders raised the money through operation of their own interschool post office, the CES Express.
