Northshore Home Builders Association is Raffling off Covington Home for Charity

Working through the Raising the Roof for Charity Foundation, the Northshore Home Builders Association is raffling off a new home, valued at $415,000 in the Estates of Watercross subdivision in Covington. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit will benefit three local charities: Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West, the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center in Tangipahoa Parish and the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation.

The Wainer Companies donated the lot at at 4192 Cypress Point Drive, and Blake Mendheim, of 110 Builders, a past president of the Home Builders Association, built the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Visitors can tour the home from noon to 5 p.m. May 12-13; from noon to 5 p.m. May 18-20; from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 26-27; and from noon to 5 p.m. June 1.

The Raising the Roof for Charity Foundation has distributed more than $5 million to local charities since 1994. Only 7,500 tickets will be available for purchase at $100 each at (985) 882-5002 or raisingtherooffoundation.org. When a ticket is purchased, that ticket number is automatically entered in the $10,000 cash giveaway on May 20. The grand prize drawing for the home will be Saturday, June 2.
